- Cold plate holding temperature. With only a few units in town, an Orinda bowl that drifts warm gets noticed fast. The cold plate and the R290 system have to hold temperature through a slow day with long idle gaps. We check the control, the charge, and the fan, and set the unit to hold steady whether it is busy or quiet.

That is a seal leak. Product weeps past the bowl gasket, the shaft seal, or a faucet O-ring and runs down the base overnight. We replace the seal kit and pressure the pour to make sure it stops before we leave. -
