What we close on the truck.

Product runs warm or the FROZEN bowl over-freezes. On Crathco cold-plate and FROZEN units the temperature has to stay in a narrow window. Warm product often means a low R290 charge or a struggling compressor. A bowl that freezes solid usually points to a stuck thermostat or a control board reading wrong. We test the sealed system with gauges and set the freeze back where it belongs.
Grinding or whine from the drive motor. A Crathco agitator or pump motor that screeches is telling you the bearings are worn. Run it that way and the motor draws more current and eventually stalls. We pull the motor, check the bearings and the shaft, and fit a replacement motor when the play is past spec so the bowl circulates quietly again.
Bowl paddle sits still. When the paddle stops but the unit hums, the magnetic-drive coupling has lost its hold. We check the drive magnet and the auger magnet for wear and clear any buildup on the shaft that keeps them from locking together. The matching Crathco coupling goes in and we confirm the pull.
