- KM machine short-cycling with a dirty condenser. In busy Union Landing kitchens, grease and dust cake the air-cooled condenser on Hoshizaki KM cubers. Head pressure climbs, the machine short-cycles, and ice output drops. We deep-clean the condenser coil, check the fan motor and the high-pressure cutout, and confirm the sealed system is holding before we call it done.
- DCM dispenser low on ice or leaking water. Hoshizaki DCM undercounter cube-and-water units fail at the inlet valve, the water regulating valve, or the pump when output falls off or water pools underneath. We test the valves and pump, clear the drain, and check the bin thermostat so the dispenser fills again without leaking.
- Long freeze cycle from a bad float switch or inlet valve. A Hoshizaki cuber that runs long freeze cycles and trips on error is usually starved for water. The float switch sticks or the water inlet valve clogs, so the reservoir never fills to level. We clean or swap the float switch, service the inlet valve, and verify the fill so freeze times come back to spec.

Where are you coming from, and how fast can you get to Union City?
Our shop is in San Ramon. We take 680 south to Fremont, then 880 north a couple of exits into Union City, with Hayward just up the freeway and Newark just south. It is one of our quicker East Bay runs, usually around 30 to 40 minutes. -
