You get thin cubes, long harvest cycles, or a machine that stops making ice altogether. We descale, replace water valves and float switches, and rebuild the harvest assembly when it's fouled past saving.
- Water pump bearing failure. On older Hoshizaki KM heads the water pump bearing goes around year seven. You hear a loud pump at startup and then an intermittent high-amp fault. We replace the full pump assembly rather than just the motor, since the impeller usually cracks once the bearing fails.
- Prep-table rail running warm. Hoshizaki refrigerated prep tables in the diners and taquerias drift warm when the discharge-air thermistor ages or the condenser ices up. We carry calibrated thermistors and the common start components, so a warm rail on a hot afternoon usually closes in one visit.

Usually scale on the evaporator plate from hard water, sometimes a fouled water valve or float. We descale, check the filter, and replace the water-circuit parts that are gone. We'll set a cleaning interval so it doesn't choke again in three months.
