We descale the evaporator and reservoir, clean or replace the float switch, and check the water pump so cubes come out clear and full.
F-series flaker grinding or making no ice. Hoshizaki flakers make ice with an auger turning inside the evaporator. When the gear motor bearing wears or the auger binds, you hear grinding or the machine stops producing. We pull the auger, inspect the bearing and gear motor, and replace worn parts before a seized auger cracks the evaporator.
KM cuber freezes but never drops ice. If a KM machine freezes a full plate but will not harvest, the hot gas valve or the harvest thermistor is often stuck. The unit sits in a long freeze cycle and eventually flags an error on the control board LEDs. We test the valve, the thermistor, and the board, then get the harvest cycle releasing on time.
