Commercial work at the Plaza and the club
The Plaza restaurants and the country club kitchens run the usual lineup: True and Beverage-Air reach-ins, undercounter prep tables, walk-in boxes, and back-bar coolers at the clubhouse. We rebuild or swap evaporator and condenser fan motors, replace condenser fan blades, clear iced-up evaporators, change door gaskets that have stopped sealing, and chase compressor and refrigerant faults. Sealed-system work, recovery, evacuation, and weigh-in, we do in-house under EPA #1279674151528. We’re also HC (R290) trained for the newer hydrocarbon units.
Ice is its own thing out here. Blackhawk’s water is hard, and hard water is what kills ice machines. Scale builds on the evaporator plate, harvest cycles drag, the bin fills slow, and eventually the machine quits. We’re Manitowoc-certified, factory-trained on Indigo NXT, NEO undercounter, QuietQube, and Koolaire. We service Hoshizaki and Scotsman too. A real descale and water-filter program is cheaper than a new head.
Sub-Zero in the homes
A lot of our Blackhawk calls are residential. Sub-Zero built-ins, dual-zone wine units, U-Line undercounters in the bars and butler’s pantries. Common failures: a unit running warm from a failed evaporator fan or a frosted coil, a wine cabinet drifting off setpoint, condensation and door-seal issues. We service these as an independent shop, no factory-authorization claim, just the parts and the fix.
The diagnostic is $75 and it comes off the bill when you approve the repair. Hours are 7AM to 7PM, seven days, with after-hours emergency at the same number.
