Concord is the busiest part of our map and as far north as we run. Between Todos Santos Plaza, the restaurant rows downtown, and the QSR and grocery strung along Monument Boulevard and Willow Pass Road, there’s a lot of equipment running long hours. We fix the cold side: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, undercounter and prep tables, bar coolers and back-bar boxes, and commercial ice machines. Hard water is the ice machine problem here
Concord runs on Contra Costa Water District supply, and it’s hard. On an ice machine that means scale on the evaporator, slow harvest, thin or cloudy cubes, and eventually a machine that won’t drop ice at all. We see it constantly on Manitowoc and Hoshizaki heads in the bars and taquerias. A proper descale and a fresh water filter usually brings production back; if the float, water valve, or harvest probe is fouled past saving, we carry those on the truck.
Andrew is Manitowoc-certified, factory-trained through the Manitowoc Ice and Koolaire Field Service Seminar on Indigo NXT modular, NEO undercounter, and QuietQube remote condenser units. That’s certification to service the equipment, not a sales dealership. Every other ice brand, Hoshizaki and Scotsman included, we service as an independent shop.
Walk-ins, reach-ins, and the sealed system
The common calls are a walk-in that won’t hold temp, iced-up evaporator coils, a failed condenser fan motor, a stuck defrost cycle, or a True or Turbo Air reach-in that’s warming up overnight. A lot of the newer Atosa undercounters run R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, and we’re HC(A3) trained through Mainstream Engineering to work on those safely. Sealed-system repairs, leaks, compressors, recharges, are done in-house with recovery, evacuation, and a weigh-in. Our EPA Section 608 number is 1279674151528.
Straight pricing, fast on outages
A dead walk-in or a down ice machine costs a kitchen money by the hour, so we move on commercial outages. Tell the dispatcher you’re down when you call. We’re open 7AM to 7PM, seven days, dispatched out of San Ramon, with the same number after hours for emergencies.
