Sub-Zero in Pleasanton
Sub-Zero refrigeration in Pleasanton.
Pleasanton's Sub-Zero work sits in the upscale residential pockets, Ruby Hill, Vintage Hills, and the custom homes off Foothill Road, where the kitchens run built-in Sub-Zero and U-Line columns and wine storage. We service them as an independent shop, not a factory-authorized dealer, so you get a straight diagnosis and a written quote before any work.
We're dispatched out of San Ramon and cover Pleasanton seven days a week. The diagnostic is $75, waived with the repair. Sealed-system work, recovery, evacuation, and weigh-in are done in-house under EPA #1279674151528, because a Sub-Zero seal job done halfway is a several-thousand-dollar callback. After years on these cabinets the failure list is short and predictable.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- One-side-warm dual-refrigeration leaks. The older 600 and 700 cabinets in Ruby Hill and Vintage Hills lose cooling on one side while the other holds. That's a slow sealed-system leak. We diagnose off the compressor cycle and suction line, read the evaporator behind the kickplate, and recharge in-house after the leak repair.
- Condenser coil and fan service. On the Classic 36" and 48" built-ins the condenser cakes with dust when cabinet trim blocks the grille. We pull the unit, clean the coil, and check the fan bearings, catching a dry motor before it seizes and overheats the compressor.
- Wine units and integrated columns. The wine storage in these custom homes drifts off setpoint on a failed cooling deck, and Designer integrated columns sag out of alignment so the magnetic seal quits. We rebuild the deck or square the column door so the gasket seats again.

FAQ
Sub-Zero in Pleasanton questions, answered.
-
Do you service Sub-Zero in Ruby Hill and Vintage Hills?
Yes. Ruby Hill, Vintage Hills, and the custom homes off Foothill are where most of our Pleasanton Sub-Zero work is. We handle built-ins, columns, and wine units as an independent shop, with sealed-system work in-house. -
My Sub-Zero is cold on one side and warm on the other. What is that?
On a dual-refrigeration unit that's a slow sealed-system leak on one circuit. We find and repair the leak, then recover, evacuate, and weigh in a proper charge rather than topping it off. -
Should I repair my older Sub-Zero or replace it?
Almost always repair. The cabinet outlives several rounds of components, parts are available, and a replacement built-in runs thousands plus a cabinetry refit. We give you a written quote and a clear repair-or-replace read first.
