- Door gasket and fan motor. A worn gasket or a failed evaporator fan motor are the two reasons a Traulsen reach-in stops holding temp at a cafeteria. The gasket is the cheapest fix on the cabinet and it saves the compressor; we carry both on the truck.
- Hard-water ice on the line. San Ramon runs on Zone 7 water and it's hard, so the cubers near the Traulsen line scale up on the evaporator and water lines and slowly lose production. A descale, a fresh filter, and a cleaned condenser usually bring them back.
