Bin sensor reading full when the bin is empty. Indigo NXT machines use an infrared bin sensor to know when the storage bin is full. When the lens gets filmed with grease or hard-water haze, the sensor reads full and the machine stops making ice even with an empty bin. We clean the sensor, check its alignment, and replace it if the emitter has failed, so the head runs when it is supposed to.
Undercounter UDF harvest cycle that stalls. On the undercounter UDF and UYF units, a weak hot gas valve or a tired harvest assist leaves a full ice sheet stuck to the evaporator. The machine tries to harvest, times out, and freezes up. We check the hot gas valve, the harvest assist motor, and the water dump, then replace the failed part and watch a clean release before we leave.
Dirty air-cooled condenser and high-temp cutouts. Union City runs hot inland in summer, which is hard on an air-cooled Manitowoc condenser. Grease and dust pack the coil, head pressure climbs, and the machine trips on its high-temperature safety and quits. We deep-clean the condenser, check the fan motor, and verify head pressure drops back to normal before we call the job done.
